*Stacked Hearts* Knitting Patterns

3 days before Valentine's Day maybe I'm just seeing hearts everywhere, or maybe this pattern looks like piles of hearts stacked one on another.

Yarn:

Yarnart

Needles:

2.5 mm - US 1 1/2

Notions:

Marker (m), tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

k - knit
p - purl
yo - yarn over
sk2p - slip, k2tog, pass  
cdd - center double decrease
k2tog - knit 2 together
3 out of 3 - pick-up the yarn between 2nd and 3rd st, yo, k3tog tbl
k3tog tbl - knit 3 together through the back loop

I loved this pattern so much, that I just had to try it in some more "Love" colors.

Directions:

Cast-on a multiple of 5 + 2 symmetry stitches 

Row 1: *p2, k3; rep from*, p2
Row 2, 4: *k2, p3; rep from*, k2
Row 3: *p2, pick-up the yarn between 2nd and 3rd st, yo, k3tog tbl; rep from*, p2

Repeat rows: 3 - 4
