*Triangles* Knitting Patterns

This pattern is not very complicated, but the end result makes you think it is. In 9 rows out of 14 you just knit or purl across.

Yarn:

Schachenmayr color Navy

Needles:

2.5 mm - US 1 1/2

Abbreviations:

k - knit
p - purl
yo - yarn over
sk2p - slip, k2tog, pass  
cdd - center double decrease
k2tog - knit 2 together  
edge st - you can knit them how you like, I knit them like this: beginning - k1, end - sl1 wyif

Directions:

Cast-on a multiple of 10 + 2 edge stitches
 
Row 1: (edge st) knit all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 2: (edge st) knit all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 3: (edge st) knit all with 2 yo in every stitch (edge st)  
Row 4: (edge st) knit all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 5: (edge st) knit all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 6: (edge st) purl all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 7: (edge st) k1, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo (edge st)  
Row 8: (edge st) purl all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 9: (edge st) k2, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k1 (edge st)  
Row 10: (edge st) purl all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 11: (edge st) yo, skp, k1, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k2 (edge st)  
Row 12: (edge st) purl all the stitches (edge st)  
Row 13: (edge st) k1, yo, skp, k1, yo, cdd, yo, k1, k2tog, yo (edge st)
Row 14: (edge st) purl all the stitches (edge st)

Repeat rows 1-14 until reached the desired length
