*Tweed* Knitting Patterns


This knitting pattern looks like tweed on both sides. It's very easy to remember and knit.

Yarn:

Alize Lanagold

Needles:

3.25 mm - US 3 Chiaogoo Interchangeable Needles

Notions:

Marker (m), tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

k2tog tbl - knit 2 together through the back loop
k1 tbl - knit 1 through the back loop
sl1yo - slip 1 with yarn over needle
edge st - beginning: k1, end: sl1 wyif
sl1 wyif- slip 1 with yarn in front
k2tog - knit 2 together

On the right side the pattern is diagonal:

On the wrong side the pattern is horizontal:

Tweed - Wrong Side

Directions:

Cast-on an even number of stitches 

Row 1, 2 (color A): (edge st) *k2tog tbl, sl1yo; rep from* (edge st)
Row 3, 4 (color B): (edge st) *k2tog tbl, sl1yo; rep from* (edge st)

Repeat rows 1 - 4 

Note: when you knit row 1 the first time, k2tog tbl = k1 tbl
