*Peacock Shawl* Brioche Knitting Patterns

Peacock Shawl is a brioche knitting pattern worked in brioche rib stitch. The pattern is divided in 3 panels and each panel consists of a peacock feather motif that includes more and more feathers as the pattern advances. I explain in the video how to start and place the markers so that it's easier to follow the chart and the directions.

For beginners that like the peacock feather motif but don't feel adventurous enough to knit the Peacock Shawl I recommend to start with the Peacock Scarf.

Bind off and weave in loose ends.

Knit The *Peacock Shawl* Using Charts:

With main color yarn cast-on 9 sts from 1 st (make a loop with the tail under the working yarn, then [k1, yo] 4 times, k1, into that loop). Pull on yarn tail and tighten that loop. Work row 1 in main color yarn according to chart below. After that slide all stitches to the other end of the needles, join contrast color yarn and work row 2 in contrast color yarn.

After each odd row slide stitches to other end of needles, pick-up contrast color yarn and knit with it the even row. After each even row turn work, pick-up main color yarn and knit with it the odd row.
Peacock Shawl - Rows 1-32
After completing rows 1-32, work rows 33-68 according to the chart below:
Peacock Shawl - Rows 33-68
After working rows 1-68, repeat rows 33-68. When you work rows 33-68 the second time, there will be 2 pattern repeats inside each motif. See chart below:
Peacock Shawl - Rows 33-68 (2nd repeat)
When you will work rows 33-68 the third time, there will be 3 pattern repeats inside each motif and so on.

One Page Chart:

If the process of knitting by using the charts explained above is clear, maybe you would need all the charts in one page to print or save to your PC/tablet/phone. For those purposes you can use the image below:
